Ladies who are diabetic?!

Question: Ladies who are diabetic!?
Does having diabetes interfer with your period!? I went to the doctor because I have a reoccuring yeast infection (1 just about every month) and they tested my urine and said I'm pre diabetic and have to go in for further testing!. So either it is the yeast infection or maybe diabetes stoping my period!.

No chance of being pregnant!. They tested me today!. Husband also had vasectomy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diabetes is typically a problem with your endocrine system which is responsible for hormone production!. Since your period is regulated by hormones, yes, indirectly your diabetes can affect your period!. If your blood sugar are up and down and not stabilized (like mine) then yes, that's what it is!. Yeast infections are also VERY common in unstabilized blood sugars!. Get back to the Dr and ask them to give you a glucometer and educate you on blood sugar control!. Do it before you start getting other problems that make a yeast infection and no period look like fun!. I've been Type 1 for 25 years so I've seen all of what you are describing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How old are you and are you close to menopause!? It could be peri-menopause which can mess with your period!. Women with diabetes can have recurrent yeast infections because of the higher blood sugar levels in the body!. Do you have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)!? That is also known to cause insulin resistance (which can lead to pre-diabetes and diabetes if not taken care of early - no treatment, just trying to manage it) and can also make your periods irregular!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you eat a lot of white bread or other food with yeast in it stop! eat at least 2 cups of yogurt every day!.(this is also good for digestion) and are you positive it's a yeast infection!? there are several vaginal infections that present with the same symptoms!.
as far as your period slowing down, REJOICE!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Reoccurring yeast infections can be one of the signs of diabetes!. Diabetes will not stop your period!. You need to see a gynecologist about that!. Could be a lot of reasons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diabetes shouldn't affect your cycle per se, but I've heard lots of women talk about recurring yeast infections with diabetes!. Are you emotionally stressed about something!? That can really screw up your cycles!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go have yourself checked for PCOS!. I don't know a lot about it, but I know that it's diabetes related and can cause problems with your periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
