Yes, you can work in health care w/HBV or HCV infxn!. The CDC says as much!. Proper infxn control techniques protect BOTH workers & patients!. Some employers will discriminate based upon this!. If you can prove it!. You can sue their A** es off!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would depend on the job you want!. If you plan on being involved in any patient hands on care the answer is no!. It is against state regulations!. Also when working as a caregiver you are required to be tested for hep and tb!. You have the option to be vaccinated against hep b!.
If you plan on being in the office side of things (med!. records,billing and coding etc) I would think the answer is yes as you are behind the scenes of patient care!. You are not in actual contact with the patient!. You can contact the state health department in the state in which you reside and they would be able to tell you a definite answer!. You may even be able to check your state health department website!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
