How long to CT (CAT) scans take?!
Question: How long to CT (CAT) scans take!?
I may have a CT scan soon, and I know they have frightened people in the past!. I'm not clausterphobic, but I would like to know how many minutes a typical scan could take!.

I have had 2 CT scan in the last 3 weeks!. The first was of my chest, abdomen, and groin area!. The majority of the time I spent there, I was drinking the contrast material, that took about 45 minutes!. Once I was in the room, and ready for the CT scan its self, they did the first set which took a few minutes, then they came in and did the dye contrast, and did the second set of pictures!. The whole thing took about 15 minutes!.
My second one, was of my head only, without contrast!. I was in and out of there in no time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on how much of your body is being scanned!. But usually about 20 - 30 minutes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
