okay, i heard that when you start taking accutane, your skin will get really bad!.!.!.!. how long does the period of bad skin last!? 1 week!? 1 month!? 5 months!? lol i have no idea so someone please tell me!.

i'm on accutane right now!. ive been on it for almost3 months!. my skin keeps getting better everyday!. but the first month is the month where everything comes to surface!. be patient!. dont pick or pop bc scars will form!. drink lots of water and stay away from vitamins! bc any extra vit a will be bad for you!

Accutane should be a drug of last resort after all other treatment plans have failed!. The common regimen for accutane is 6 months, where you will have to go into the lab once a month to give blood to monitor triglyceride levels!. Your skin will become EXTREMELY dry, and your doctor will probably give you a prescription strength topical ointment to put on your skin!. Also, you may suffer nosebleeds from reduced moisture in your nostrils!. You can avoid this by using a saline spray to lubricate the nose and keep it moist!.
