Sepsis from a Tiny Cut?!


Question: Sepsis from a Tiny Cut!?
This is probably a stupid question, but I wanted to know if you'd get sepsis (blood infection) from a small everyday cut!.

I cut my toe a little bit (no bigger than 3mm), and made sure to clean and wrap it up immediately afterwards!.

Any chance of sepsis from this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is very well possible, but that usually/normally will not occur unless in the case of a bad immune system or other medical problems!. Just wash any cuts good with alchohol and make sure you don't get them dirty!. Especially make sure to take good care of cuts if they were caused by an animal!. (You can get serious infections from cat scratches!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
The cut would most likely get infected before you developed a systemic infection!. Wash it every day with soap and water and put a fresh bandage on it!. Monitor for pus, foul odor, pain, and fever!. See the doctor if you are worried about it or get any of these symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
