Question: Has anyone else had gastro last for 10 days!?
I've had it twice in the last 4 months - really really nasty!. I've seen the dr and everything, just wondering if there's anyone else out there who can share my pain!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, but run (you'll probably have to!) to your nearest health food store, and invest in a quality probiotic found in the refrigerator section!. Around here this costs about 24 - 36 dollars for a good, wide-spectrum probiotic with 100 capsules!.
Take three to start, then at least one per meal!. I find this clears up all kinds of stomach bugs from food poisoning (from experience) to the flu (ditto)!. I had the stomach flu last week and started with the lovely lower-end symptoms and nausea!. I took the probiotics and that slowed and, er, solidified!. I still had a fever for a couple of days, so I kept taking them!. My husband is currently abed with the same thing (nice of me to share)!. I gave him the probiotics after his second trip to the bathroom at 4AM, and he hasn't been up since!.

Probiotics are natural gut flora and really you are just putting back what should already be there!. So, it can't hurt you!. Gut flora can be compromised by high fever, illness (of any kind), antiobiotics, eating too much processed food, all kinds of things, really!. So it's a good idea to replenish them regularly through the use of lacto-fermented foods and taking probiotics!. Just think of them as a billion little friends!.

Yes you can!. You might have normal diarrhea for first 4 days!. But during th first 4 days you might have lost the enzyme called lasctase which digested simple sugars ( high in jucie) !. Diarrhea for the first 4 days can washout that enzyme from your gut!. After that even then the diarrhea gone you still get loose watery diarrhea because of lack of that enzyme!. You got give rest to the gut to regenerate that enzyme!. The way you can do is avoid food with high sugar!.

No Milk No ice cream No caffeine ( this will increase the diarrhea itself)

Eat more yogurt ( look for cultured yougurt) this will replace the enzyme you lost
Eat : Breat toast yougart banana rice cerea jellos ( all these have complex sugar which easy of your diarrhea
