hi i have type 2 and after a very bad scare from a hypo i got in Spain i got one year i always carry glucose sweets in my pocket all the time and i go no where without them i would recamain that all diabetic carry them and if all came to all i would not eat grass there is no prove to show that it would make your blood sugar rise and lots of prove that you could pick up wee disease which if you dont know is cause by rat pee and countless of other thing alsoWww@Answer-Health@Com

Nothing silly about it, I've been there, but it was a wake up call to me that you have to have fast acting carbs (hard candies or glucose tablets) with you at ALL times!. Hypos come on very fast, and the disorientation that comes with them puts you in a very vulnerable position for making decisions!. You have to be able to just grab it and chow it down!. Grass wouldn't have helped you, no carb in that!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think grass would have helped!. Being diabetic, even if you never have low episodes, you should always be prepared for one!. Carry some hard candy, or even better, a granola bar or peanut butter crackers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't sound silly - it was a potentially serious situation!.

I doubt if grass would have helped!.

You probably know you need to carry some food in case you do go hypo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not a lot u could do in that situation only hypo and hope someone finds u!. Eventually your liver would kick in and you would come around at some stageWww@Answer-Health@Com

As a type 2
married to a type1
you should always carry glucose tablets
