Endometrial Cancer?!

Question: Endometrial Cancer!?
My friend was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer!. Her doctor says its in stage 1 and slow growing, and therefore not a big threat!. She however, had to schedule a hysterectomy!. When given a choice, she choose to have it done in mid June (around the 10th), instead of about May 20th because of personal reasons (non-medical)!. Is this bad!? Is there any need to rush into sugary, or will it not make a difference!? It is most likely that she has only had this cancer (or symptoms have only been showing) for about five-six weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From what I know about cancer I would never wait!. The sooner it can be removed !. !. the 'safer' she'll be !. !. but that is a personal preference!. Cancer is unforgiving !. !. it will not allow you to make one mistake!. However, if she is going by the advice of her doctor !. !. he would certainly know more about her situation than anyone here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mom was diagnosed with Stage 1A endometrial cancer in 2005!. She had the hysterectomy and radiation and was pretty much told that although she needed to be monitored, she was not likely to have a recurrence!. In 2007, it was found to have metastasized to her liver and pelvic area!. Her type is clear cell carcinoma, and seems to be fairly aggressive!. Her doctor was shocked that it recurred!.

In other words, I would not wait!. I don't know how they can say it is Stage 1 and slow growing until they have done the hysterectomy and biopsied the tissue!. We did not know my mom's type or stage until after her surgery!.

Please tell your friend to do lots of research and question anything the doctors tell her that she does not understand!. Survival rates for stage 1 endometrial cancer are very high, but they are not 100%!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If there is a need to rush into surgery her doctor would have wanted to schedule her before May 20th so it may not be critical, but personally I would not want to put it off any longer than necessary!. The longer the tumor is left where it is the more time it has to spread, but of course that decision is up to the person with the tumor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
