Symptoms of Lukeimia? How do they test for it?!

Question: Symptoms of Lukeimia!? How do they test for it!?
Answers:
first of all they do a cbc blood test!. If it is at a major cancer clinic like Vanderbilt Hospital where they do major research they will possibly do a type of genetic testing on your blood and then after a partial diagnosis is made they will do a bone marrow test!. I have had 2 bone marrow test where they could not deaden my hips and spine because my heart was so bad and 1 where they could deaden it!. It is a very painful test!. I would not wish this kind of cancer on anyone!.I have the apl form of aml!. But I am in remission and have been for a year!.I hope that I have helped in some small way!. My symptoms went unnoticed until I had several things happen to me in a row!. First my ankle broke and me just standing still, then a month later I had to have a cyst surgically removed!. Then I started feeling so tired I couldn't play with my grandchildren or even walk 2 blocks without having to sit down on a neighbors porch!. Then I took one of my or what I thought was normal migraines where I had to go to the er to get a shot and also thought I had a kidney stone and when they ran blood tests and found out that I almost didn't have any blood function at all!. My white cells as well as my red cells were almost nil!. By the time they found it my heart was so weak and that is why they could not deaden my hips and spine to do the test!. Another sign is easy bruising!. I also hemorriged like crazy when I just wiped when I went to the bathroom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Symptoms of leukemia include an abnormally high white blood cell count, anemia, feeling weak and tired, frequent nose bleeds!.

Blood cells are primarily produced in the bone marrow which if the marrow is involved then the disease is much more serious!. In order to get an accurate diagnosis, the oncologist must do a bone marrow biopsy and have that biopsy be looked at by the Pathologist on call for a positive diagnosis!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They have to extract some bone marrow to perform pathology tests!. Its a lot more invasive than a regular blood test!. They have some new tests where they can extract some fluids from the lymph nodes which isnt so bad, it depends on what the dr thinks is neededWww@Answer-Health@Com

They do a blood cell count of each kind of cellWww@Answer-Health@Com
