Icky tapeworms?!
Question: Icky tapeworms!?
help! a friend of mine called her mother today very upset because her daughter pooped out a worm!.I told her that it was [robably a tapeworm but she was so upset that she took her daughter and the worm to the E!.R!. to be checked out!.I haven't talked to her but she said that the E!.R!. was busy and she just left after three hours!.Are tapeworms dangerous!? Should her daughter be some kind of antibiotics or just let her be!? Please help!.Sharon W!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not a tape worm, I guess they are very long!. Believe it or not, people get worms in their poops more than you realize!. She should take her to the doctor and get the appropriate medicine!. My mother used to tell me that it happened by sitting in the dirt in shorts by the trash cans (I was a kid), this may be an old wives tale, but you never know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
