It's not a myth - however, in order to be of benefit the honey you ingest should ideally come from a LOCAL source!. In other words, a honey supplier that has hives in your area so that the bees will have sucked the nectar and distributed the pollen from the local flora that triggers your alleregies!. The process by which bees produce honey allows for tiny amounts of the substance you are allergic to to be ingested and assimilated into your system in a way that does not cause a reaction!. An allergist does the same to desensitize your immune system from over-reacting to allergic substances by injecting tiny amounts!.

Yeah its true, if you get local honey it helps because it was pollinated by bees in the same area around you!.!.!.!.!.so they're pollinating the flowers that are bothering your allergies!. When you eat a tablespoon of local honey a day you're body is kind of getting immune to the pollen!.

I use Zyrtec and it works wonders!. Try Nasonex, Flonase, Benadryl, and something with an A!. Honey helps a sore throat, not allergies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
