How to avoid infections from earrings?!
Question: How to avoid infections from earrings!?
Years ago I could wear any earrings!. Real or dirt-cheap!.!.!. and they never bothered my ears!.
I stopped wearing earrings for a while, and now when I put them in (even sterling and sterile clean), my earlobes are red & sore within an hour, and I get an infection straight away!.
Any reason for this!? Can I retrain my ears to accept earrings!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am the same way!. I cannot wear nickel or sterling silver the only thing I can wear is at least 10 Karat gold!. I have tried molded plastic but I seem to sweat a little with those and that starts a chain reaction of itching!. No you cannot retrain your ears!. Just stick to what works!. I have used fingernail polish to coat some earings but the coating comes of before the event is over!.!.!.So I just stay with gold :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
You're sterilizing the earring (which is good), but the ear itself has bacteria as well!. If you dab a little rubbing alcohol on and around the holes before putting them on, that will help prevent an infection!.

Not sure, but a trick my wife uses is to coat the part that touches the ear with clear nail polish!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
