People without diabetes have mood swings, just as people with diabetes have mood swings!. But at times, people with diabetes can blame it on their blood sugars!. I find when my BG is high I get grumpy and easily irritable, and in general ornery at times!. When my BG gets low, I get quiet, also can be short on temper, usually because I am not feeling myself, and can be somewhat combative, almost like a drunken state, I'll say I am fine, but I am not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a diabetic and I sometimes have mood swings when my blood sugar is lower than 80!. Everything is annoying to me when I go through this, but it doesn't happen all the time!. As soon as it goes back up I am ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
During a diabetic emergency people can become combative!. It depends on their blood glucose level!. If they are able to keep it within normal range (80-160mg/dl) then any mood swings they have wouldn't be because of diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
