Smoking and congestion????!

Question: Smoking and congestion!?!?!?!?
I am not a habitual smoker, but smoke socially on occasion!. When I smoke more than a few cigarettes in a night I seem to get this nasal throat congestion right where my nasal passage meets my throat!. It almost feels as if some little part of throat is inflamed or enlargened!. There is also noticeably more phlegm in the area as well!. What should I do to prevent this when I smoke!? I have had my tonsils removed in the past, is there some other little organ in there to that is similar or what!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That sounds like an allergic reaction much like asthma and/or rhinitis!. Your best bet would be to stop smoking!. We all know that smoking destroys the lungs!.

When the mucus membranes are irritated, the autoimmune system kicks in!. The tissue will swell and produce mucus to flush out the irritant!. This is your congestion and phlegm!.

Cigarettes are the only product on the market, that if used as intended by the manufacturer, will result in death!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can prevent it by not smoking!. Smoking is an irritant and you may be mildly allergic to the tobacco!. I don't know of a way to prevent it other than that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
