Question: I am allergic to my jewelry! HELP!!?
My boyfriend bought me a ring for Christmas and it really irritates my finger!. I was told that it was stainless steel!. I am allergic to nickel in fake jewelry and I am getting the same reaction on my finger that I would if I were to wear a fake ring!. I am not allergic to stainless steel or surgical steel!. Also on the band at the base it is changing colors and has blotchy spots of darker than silver on there!. Is there anything that will help me wear this ring!? I can't take it back since I have had it for almost 5 months now and it was bought 100 miles away from my house!. I just need help!. I really love this ring and I love my boyfriend, and I want the red bumps and itch to just go away!.
BTW I have tried to put on clear nail polish on the band and that is not helping!. I don't know what else to do!.

I have the exact same problem with metal, it used to happen to me from my old glasses!. Anyways, I've been told by jewelers that you can have any piece of metal rhodium plated!. This clear coat will make it shiny and also helps a lot of people overcome the metal allergy!. The plating does wear off eventually, so it needs to be redone every year or so!.
In the future, stick to buying jewelry made of non-allergic metal such as palladium and titanium!. It's more expensive, but atleast you can wear it rash free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
