u can self-diagnose everything!.!.but ur still not getting the prescription drugs u need to control ur bipolarity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Email me!. Tell me your symptoms!. I want you to describe to me your normal week!. What happens, what you do, how you act, what you are thinking!. But to be honest, with a disorder like that you can't go around telling people!. It means you are unstable and need medication to keep yourself stable!. I think if you "know" you are Bipolar (Manic/depressive) you probably aren't!. Most people with that disorder don't know there is anything wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should read books on the subject!. bipolar disorder has become a layman's term for mood swings!. i had a bipolar girlfriend, who WAS diagnosed- the mania would let her get involved with projects she had no ability to ever complete and spend money she didn't have!. the depression was such that she didn't want to get out of bed- each period would last 2 weeks to about 2 months!. that's one person, and i'm not sure if her case is typical!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people who have been diagnosed as being bi-polar actually have Lyme disease, might be chemically imbalanced or could be schizophrenic or even diabetic!.

Before you go diagnosing yourself, look to see if there is a physical reason and I say this because if it is from a physical cause, you might be able to deal with it much easier than if you were to deal with your issues from a bi-polar stand point!.!.!.!.!.if that makes sense!?

I wish you luck, I know it's not easy, but keep advocating for yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can diagnose youself with anything you want to, but you aren't qualified!. Like someone said earlier, most bipolar people don't think ANYTHING is wrong with them, it's just the people who have to live with them who are SURE something is wrong!. Mood swings and tantrums does not a biploar person make!. Believe me, my ex is bipolar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you most likely have a good idea of whether you have or have not bipolar, however for a proper diagnosis you should see a pyschiatrist, its just a name, but they can help you you deal with things that depress you etc!.

( i had ocd and Ptsd and it helped me get my life back on track)

good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you aren't a doctor, you shouldn't say you have it unless you've been diagnosed by a doctor!.

If I was in your shoes, I would just tell people that you are planning on going to see a doctor about possible issues with your mood swings!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
