Question: I just started Lyrica today for my Fibromyalgia and!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
I just feel dizzy and a little lightheaded, but the pain is still there!? I dont understand, so now, not only am I in pain, but Im dizzy too!. When can I expect this to start working!? I take 150 mg!. for the first week, then starting the second week, I am supposed to take 2 a day (300mg)!. Does anyone know if this is a good medication!? I dont know when to expect the pain to lessen, I hope its soon though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there i started lyrica yesterday and I'm on one tablet a day for a week and then i go on taking two tablets twice a day they are 150mg as well!.!.i just rang the doc about 1/2hr ago and he said to stop taking them and come and see him Monday as i cant get in any earlier!.!.I also suffer from fibromyalgia,the lyrica gave me the effects as you described!.!.!.I cant drive my kids from school like this hows a person meant to function!?!? Fibromyalgia is such a BS disease!.!.!.its all in your head, every patient i see with fibromyalgia is a pain in the butt, all they do is complain about everything (and no, its not becuase your in "so much pain", i see patients with real pain and who are going to die, and they don't b*tch as much as yall)!.!.!.so theres no doubt in my mind that you're gunna complain about side effects from the meds!. You should try taking an antidepressant (which is the primary treatment for fibromyalgia)!.!.!.hmmm, any "disease" thats treated with an antidepressant doesn't sound like a real disease!.!.!.counseling is probably a good idea too

Hi Cristin!.!.!. I also have FM!.!. along with several of the other things that come along with FM!.!.!. Lyrica was not one of the drugs that I could take!. I have balance problems and Lyrica was found to have a side affect of dizziness for me!. Also swelling of the hands and feet and I also have severe swelling!.!.!. !.!.
!.Not all people will have the same side affects!.
It's a good idea to take your Doctors advice!.
By the way don't even listen to people like Seaview who claims to be a doctor!. it's obvious this is some kid who is playing around!. In the message that was written are several clues!. No Adult or Doctor would write what this person did and endanger his reputation or License!. It's very easy to do a search and find out who this person is!.!. So don't even be concerned , I have reported him!.
My friend , who is also trying Lyrica, just told me a few days ago that it hasn't done a thing for her but made her more drowsy!. she has been on it for three weeks now and thats all it has done!. !.!.well except she is hungrier too!.!. she is fearful of gaining more weight!.

I suffer with persistant back and nerve pain and have done so for many years was also told i have fibro I tried lyrica it helped right away and also for my daughter too she also has fibro!. But we both found we gained a LOTof weight this is a side affect!. my daughter was very dizzy and had to stop but dii help her pain!.For me weight gain is no good it makes my back pain worse!. It may be good for you what about the other one medicine similar gamma penton ask your doctor!.heat helps By the way take no notice of the SO CALLED doctor who says fibro does not exist I don't know what school he went too glad he is not mine!.good luck! Fibromyalgia pain can be difficult to treat, but it's still too early to tell if the Lyrica is going to work for you!. I personally have not had many patients complaining of those symptoms, but the best thing to do is call your doctor and ask him, he likely prescribes lyrica more often than I do!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
