Is it possible that I have Lupus?!

Question: Is it possible that I have Lupus!?
Please only knowledged people reply to this!.

About 4 months ago I came down with a bad sinus infection!. 3 weeks after (having come back from Spring break in FL) I worked out for the first time in a while!. When I returned a red butterfly-like rash (resembles that) appeared on my face for about 8 hours!.

At the hospital they took an ANA test = negative!. They also said my sed-rate was a little high, at 44!.

I exercise alot and eat a very healthy diet!. I do like to lie in the sun and I hardly get my period!. I havent had that redness or gotten that ill since then,!.

Opinions!? I'm going to the dr!. to speak with him about having more tests done for Lupus!. Does this seem like a real possibility!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
First let me say that Lupus is always a possibility!. It is a disease that is very hard to pin down and diagnose!. With that said, you do not exhibit the 'normal' Lupus complaints!. First off, the rash on your face was probably caused by exertion as the 'butterfly' rash that is talked about in Lupus doesn't appear and reappear in hours!.!.!.usually a rash from Lupus remains for several days and if you have Lupus and are prone to the rash it will come back over and over again!.

As far as being tired, there are too many things to state that could be causing this symptom!. Yes, Lupus patients do suffer from fatigue but normally the fatigue is overwhelming and interfers with their normal lifestyle, ie being unable to do normal chores, work, etc!. It is possible that because you were recently sick that your body is still recovering and this is why you feel tired!.

Lupus is a serious disease that affects people differently!. It wouldn't hurt to get more thoroughly checked out!. If the symptoms persist or worsen, then you must pester the doctor until they come up with a diagnosis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
