Honest answers only please?!

Question: Honest answers only please!?
I have breast cancer and am having surgery on the 19th of this month and start chemo on the 25th!. Any way after the surgery I will have a 3-4cm scar from the top of my left breast going towards the nipple!. Instead of having an ugly reminder of the surgery I was considering getting a tattoo of a butterfly or dragonfly or other suggestions please, around the scar making the scar the stem of the butterfly!. Anyway my question is do you think it would look pretty or do you think it would look rediculous!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I would think that a butterfly would be Beautiful!. It would make the scar seem like its completely gone!. I sure hope everything goes well with you and ur surgery!. And i hope your chemo goes well!.

Wait for your breast to heal properly before you go and get a tattoo!. Wait a good 12 months, by than you will be able to see how good the scar has healed and maybe it wont be as bad as you thought it was going to be!. To prevent bruising to help with the healing process and to reduce scarring dramatically take arnica tablets, arnica cream for the bruising after the operation and take vitamin e tablets and a good supply of antioxidants to help heal the outside skin!. After a couple of months after the operation you can start applying an oil like rosehip oil to the scarred area- this will help with the scarring!. If after the year you feel strongly about the tattoo go ahead, it is your decision and your the only one plus your partner that is going to see it!.
I wish you well for you operation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that it would be lovely!. I have a great friend who did the same thing!. The tattoo covered the scar and made her feel less violated!.

If this is something you decide to do, look around and talk to the artists in your area (some artists are better at certain genres than others)!. You want a clean studio, and the ink should be transferred into little "wells" so there is no cross-contamination!. Needles also should be individually wrapped or otherwise sterilized!. You can tell a lot about an artist by the way they keep shop!.

Pricing is a little different!. Some artists charge by the piece (smaller piece, lower cost), while others charge by the time!. You should also ask to see their art book as this will let you see the pieces they have already done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should wait and see about all the cosmetic things they will offer post surgery - get through that and the chemo and you will be a true inspiration and fighter!.

Then if you want to get that tattoo for your badge of honor go for it - but I bet you may be surprised at the post op post healing today - :) and may go for it or put a tattoo somewhere else because it didn't 'scar' to badly!!

Good Luck with it all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's a great idea!. Tattoo's should have a special meaning to a person and a butterfly would be great for your situation since it's a symbol of life!. I hope everything goes well for you, good luck and God bless!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it would be a good idea if you want to blend the scar tissue in with a tattoo!. But, beware because tattooing over a scar could be more painful because the skin is more sensitiveWww@Answer-Health@Com

It would definitely not look ridiculous!.
But I think some tattoo artists don't draw on top of scars!.
Not all of them though!.
So you should find out before hand!.
And I think it's a good idea!.
Hope it looks pretty!Www@Answer-Health@Com
