Question: Asperges syndrome and cerebal palsy!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
my sister is dating a guy who has asperges syndrome and cerebal palsy for a few weeks and she seams to be happy which is really good and so does he!. i am happy for them both to but i have to ask what is those things he has got, is she in any danger and can they be passed on to there kids if they deside to have then and yeah any info at all would be helpfull!. i am worried about them both!. thank u for answeringWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your sister is in no danger!. Neither Asperger's nor Cerebral Palsy are contagious!. Asperger's is like a mild form of autism--people who have it are intelligent but socially awkward!. Doctors aren't sure what causes Asperger's, but it could be genetic!. Cerebral Palsy is a disorder of the brain that affects body movements and muscle coordination!. It could be caused by damage to or an abnormality of the brain, usually very early in life!. We on Y!A can't tell if either problem might affect their baby (if they had one) since we don't know what caused your sister's boyfriend's medical problems!. His doctors or a geneticist would be able to help answer that question!. If your sister is serious about her boyfriend, this is something they should talk about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People with AS are generally clumsy and weaker at communication through body language and so may seem awkward in conversations!. A rather positive characteristic is an abnormal ability to concentrate on a narrow topic of interest!.
If AS is genetic, there is hardly any chance of possible children having Asperger's as long as your sister is completely healthy!. If AS isn't genetic, the chances aren't much greater!.

i have a very close friend that has (male) asperger's syndrome as does his mother (rare for a woman) his daughter was born with cerebal palsey!. You didn't ask anything else, but having an asperger's mate is quite a challenge!. it is autism after all!. if you want more details let me know!. and do some online research about aspergers especially what the DSM IV has to say!. One last thing is he self -diagnosed of psychatrically diagnosed (that is hugely important)Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, the kids aren't in any real danger of getting them!. One is a rare fluke and the other is a degenerative disorder, so you don't really "get" them as much as you can just "have" them like anyone can acquire those conditions in the womb!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
