does the blood sugar measure hurt!? you know the thing that takes your blood and tells you what your blood sugar is!? i think it is for diabetes!. my mom has one and i want to see my blood sugar can some one tell me if it hurts alot or not!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The thing that brings blood to the surface is a lancet!. Yes, It can hurt a little, but as someone else said, it is less painful than getting a rose thorn prick!. Most of the time I have to watch my finger to make sure I have pricked it!. I do it off the edge of the pad of the finger!.
Doing the alternate site testing can be tricky!. It will read differently than the finger tip testing!. Mostly it will be much lower!. Mine is always 10 to 15 points lower which if not expected can be scarey!.

if you have someone else push the button for you, you may not be prepared or ready for the needle to stick you!. the first time i got my blood sugar tested my grandfather did it and it hurt!. just make sure you have it on a lower setting!. that setting is for how deep in your skin it will go!. if you do the blood testing often after a while it doesnt hurt!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I find that the side of my ring finger near the finger nail, is less painful than jabbing the tip of my finger!.Almost painless for me!. I milk my finger before I prick my finger, then I am sure of getting enough blood the first time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its a blood meter not measure and no not rely plus most can me picked to the level of intencity and then just prick on the side of one the three middle fingers becuase that is the thickest skin on ur fingerWww@Answer-Health@Com
Read the instructions and see if you can take the blood from the arm instead of the fingertip!.Taking blood from the tip of your finger does hurt but only for a little while!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would hurt more to pick a Rose and prick your finger being clumsy!. Most blood sample kits have prick needles that work as nearly as painless as can be!. Just how much do you want to know your spot blood glucose level!?
