Spotting after a colposcopy and biopsy is really normal!. How long after the colposcopy did you get the sour smell!? You know they use vinegar for the colposcopy, so could it be that!?

Otherwise it could be an infection - although you would hope not after a sterile medical procedure! I would check with your doctor when you go in for your test results and they may prescribe antibiotics!.

Good luck with the biopsy results - I'm sure you will be fine - it is a stressful period, but even if you have a bad result, the prognosis is generally really good if you catch it early!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No need to worry!. The yellow "discharge" you are seeing is from the iodine that your gyn doctor uses routinely to spread over the cervix to help him find any suspicious areas from which to take a biopsy!. This is usually done after a suspicious or abnormal Pap smear!. The iodine will come off in a couple of days!. Iodine does give off an unpleasant odor!. Now put your mind at ease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im not going to tell you to see a doctor cause you have already done that!. But obviously you are going to be nervous about anything down there while you are waiting for the results of your biopsy!. If somthing is wrong, that biopsy will tell you what!. Since there is nothing you can do while you wait, try and keep yourself busy until you get the tests back!. Good luck with both!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have had the same problem, now the doctor is most likely going to say its not cancer its either a uti (urinary track infection) or a bacterial infection and he will put you on bactrum (antibiotic) good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
