UTI or HPV?!

Question: UTI or HPV!?
UTI or HPV!?
My boyfriend and I have recently discovered he may have genital warts aka HPV!. I've done a ton of research on HPV and I'm extremely thankful that genital warts are considered low risk HPV!. A couple of hours ago I noticed that I've been needing to urinate frequently, and while I was at my friend's house I noticed a soreness/constant pain in my uterine/bladder area!. I really had to pee, so I got kind of nervous so I left, and as soon as i got home I was peeing but it reaaalllyyy hurt and not that much urine came out for me having to go so bad, when I wiped there was a small amount of blood!. I've had a UTI before but no blood was present, so I'm a little more freaked!. Could this be a result of contracting HPV or just a common UTI!? of course this has to happen on the weekend when the doctor's not open :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
it sounds like a UTI!. blood in urine is a standard UTI symptom!. it's definitely not HPV!

you can wait another day if you can stand it, but the pain will probably get worse by the hour!. CVS and Wal-mart have clinics that will quickly diagnose UTIs on weekends!. see if there is one near you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The most common cause of UTI are bacteria from the bowel that live on the skin near the rectum or in the vagina which can spread and enter the urinary tract through the urethra!. Once these bacteria enter the urethra they travel upwards causing infection in the bladder and sometimes other parts of the urinary tract!.

Another cause of bladder infections or UTI is waiting too long to urinate!. The bladder is a muscle that stretches to hold urine and contracts when the urine is released!. Waiting very long past the time you first feel the need to urinate causes the bladder to stretch beyond its capacity which over time can weaken the bladder muscle!. When the bladder is weakened it may not empty completely and some urine is left in the bladder which may increase the risk of urinary tract infection or bladder infection!.
