Can scoliosis make you short?!

Question: Can scoliosis make you short!?
I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was like 9 I think and I say a specialist when I was like 12 or 13 and was told to put a brace unfortunately my Dad wasn't having that, so he didn't let me get one, so it got worst!. I am 24 now, and I guess if you see me you couldn't tell but if you looked close you would notice that one shoulder is lower, and on pant leg drags more than the other!.
My teacher told me the other day if I was limping, and I noticed that I do kind of limp now, i never did before!.
Also could scoliosis make you lose inches in your height not now but since I first got it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Think of a rope in the shape of a C!.!.!.!.or an S!. If it were stretched out to make a straight line, it would be longer!.

Now imagine that rope is your spine, wouldnt it be longer if it were straight instead of curved!?

So yes, if you had scoliosis and it got worse, it could have taken inches off your height!.
I would recommend seeing a doctor!. Scoliosis gets worse and more difficult to treat over the years, and the sooner you treat it, the longer you can prevent it from becoming more severe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it can make you shorter the amount that it is twisted!. It is common after spinal fusion surgery or aggressive orthopedic correction for a person to gain a small amount of height!.

For an experiment, get you a piece of string and a ruler!. Measure the string while it is straight!. Then measure it after pulling some humps in it!. The ends of the string will be closer together!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
