Question: Does this look like melanoma!?
Yes i know this isn't the place to ask such questions, i already have an appointment with a GP i'm just curious!.

get checked, i have had melanoma, it could be as it is not a circle!. measure the width each week if it changes i would say it is!. mine started small like a freckel!. if your doc says its ok still keep checking the width and go back!. i new i had it and it took the doc 8wks before he agreed with me!. stay out of the sun or keep covered up untill you are sure!. its not a nice thing to have, goodluck!. i hope that this helps you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Is this larger than a pencil eraser!? Also, its hard to tell from such a photo, how elevated is this mole above the skin!?
The fact that it appeared suddenly probably means it is a good candidate for removal though!. I had a mole removed by a dermatologist and for smaller moles it's not such a big deal!. About a minute of actual removal, then they send it to a lab for testing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To answer your question, you would have to answer to these questions:
1)Is the spot an encrusted lump!?
2)Is it itchy like an insect bite!?
3)Does it bleed easily!?
4)Do you remember the lump being anywhere else other then the current position!?
If you answered yes to 3 of the 4 questions consider going to the doc ASAP!.!.!.!.!.!.The pic you showed seems fine but dont take your chances!.

Doesn't look like it!. It's probably a mole!. Melanoma usually is uneven around the edges and a few other symtoms that aren't seen on your mole!.!.!.!.if your still worried just go check it out with a dermatologist or doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
looks like a freckle to me!. I have had several of those come up on the palm of my hand or the bottom of my foot!. They eventually went away!. Just keep a check on it for changes in size or feel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes, it look similar to melanoma, but we can't say accurate from here, plz check this site to detect melanoma in early stage!.
