Answers:
Actually yes!. Just a few weeks ago I read an article about AIDS in South Africa, the reporter was describing how her friend always wore condoms, but ended up catching AIDS in a fight!. It definitely happens, especially in places with very high infection rates!. (And especially if knives are involved!.!.!. Stab wounds are a very easy way to get AIDS, if the infected person's blood is around when you get stabbed!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

In theory, anything is possible!. However, the situation you describe appears to be very low risk!. Your cut on your hand was superficial and presumably did not come into contact with the other person's blood !. If this does not satisfy your concerns then you have several options:

you can get tested for HIV

you can ask your friend to get tested for HIV

There will always be a certain amount of uncertainty and risk in life, just as there is whenever you get into a car or cross the street!. There is no way for me or anyone else to adequately quantify or rule out the risk involved in these or other activities!.

Good Luck!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the two open wounds touched each other or the person's blood got on you at all, it is possible!. If the infected person's blood does not go near any open cuts on your body though, then I don't think the chances are very high, as long as you washed it off well afterward with soap and water!. If this happened to me though I would definitely want to get tested!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My friend at the std social & dating site called pozcupid !.com has the same problem with you!. He got HIV from fighting with another guy!. You may ask him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
