I am a nail biter and the sunday before last I started to have a slight pain on my thumbnail similar to a hangnail that progressively worsened over the course of a day by tues a!.m!. i went to the e!.r!. and received an rx for bactrim and then went to my pcp because that night i literally watched my nail and tip of finger blacken!.!.!.my doc took me off the bactrim and then put me on keflex and then cut my finger in various locations to allow the infection to drain and also alleviate pressure!.!.!.the ooze was sent to the lab for testing and came back as MRSA and I was then put back on Bactrim DS things are getting better!.!.!.!.My thumb is starting to look human again!.!.!.!.i am interested in hearing other people's experiences with MRSA!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had (have) MRSA!. I had a hysterectomy and got
MRSA in the incision!. 2 years later the infection surfaced again, and I have had several bouts with it---in small heat pimples, in fingernails, like you, and other things!. When the infection surfaced 2 years after the hysterectomy, I had 7 surgeries within 2 months (5 in 5 days), then 2 more about a month later!. I was on Bactrim, and Zyvox (for 6 weeks)!. I have Bactroban to use for any surface infections, and another type to use in my nostril to prevent spread of the infection!. My boyfreind has it and its really bad!.He is on his 4th round of antibiotics and they may amputate his lower leg!.He got it after he had leg surgery for a carwreck!.We started using oil of oregano both internally and externally on a boil last week and it immediatly went away!.However there was more than one and his doctor have no patience for natural medicine and he told me he is too scared to really do anything against what his doctors say!. I think oregano oil works but with all things you have to give it a chance and he is too scared!.I hope you get well!.I dont think conventional medicine can hold a candle to natural medicine in the cure of MRSA because all they do is give antibiotics and thats what it is resistant to!.Read the book by Dr Cass Ingram THE MEDICINE IS THE CUPBOARD!.Its a good book it may be a bit overzealous but we tryed it on that boil for 3 days when he was off antibiotics and it really seemed to help!.Now he is back to doing what the doctor says and it looks worse than ever!.I just pray it doesnt have to be amputated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
