Answers:
Yes, sunburn does increase your risk of getting skin cancer, but even so your chances of getting it shouldn't be all that high so don't worry too much!. The important thing to do is to try not to burn in future and look at your skin regularly, checking for any new brown/black marks or changes in existing moles!.

The prognosis for skin cancer is actually very good if it is detected early so just being aware and reporting any skin changes to your doctor should keep you safe!.

But as I say, don't get too worried, although sunburn is a risk factor it is important to keep it in perspective - most fair skinned people get sunburned at some point in their lives and the vast majority never develop cancer!.

Dont fret, I got sunburned very badly when I was 14, I'm now 49 and perfectly healthy, most folk get burned at some time in their lives, its just one of those things, put some calamine lotion on it and dont touch it unless you have to, its very painful!

The only thing you can do is keep an eye on your moles, if you have one that suddenly starts growing, or looks wierd, go to your doc to get it checked out, same if you suddenly develop a patch of skin that looks discoloured or does something thats not normal for you, I shouldnt worry you will be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Things to be wary of!? Don't under-estimate the sun! Always use suncream!. Yes, it is dangerous to have too much exposure to the sun and to get burnt, if only because you really are burning yourself in the same way you burn yourself on a pan!.

Do yourself a favour and get something cold on the burnt area, even a wet towel or something!. You need to take the heat out of the area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should be very carefull, always use sun cream!. dont go out in the sun for a while or if you do keep covered up till it has cleared!. i have had skin cancer, it can start with just afreckel that slightly grows and changes colour!. if that occours go and get checked, if you are fair skined and have blue eyes be carefull!. i have never been a sun worshiper and it happened to me!. protect yourself always, stay away from sunbeds!. when mine came back again it was the bad one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its very true and not something to joke about, numerous people get skin cancer every year!. If you have any moles I would go and get them checked out with a doctor but one case of bad sunburn isn't likely to cause it especially if your young!.
