Question: Is there actually any link between the MMR & Autism!?
i ask because i made the decision to have all 4 of my children have it, one of my children does have Autism, but i believe he was born with it, he was 2 weeks early & in special care, & it was then they told me he may have learning difficulties etc etc, he wasn't diagnosed until he was 5 yr old tho, but i noticed him as a baby, he never gurgled, cooed back or smiled until he was a few years old!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.so, do you believe that MMR has links with autism or not!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

no i don't!. there have been many stories about it, but i don't believe there is a link!. I have worked with many children and adults on the spectrum, no parents have came to me with that theory!.It is hard to diagnose babies as having autism, usually it is when a child starts school that it is picked up on!. Most practitioners won't diagnose a child younger than 5 anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

She has an autistic son, stemming from the shot and has a lot of great ideas to help parents of autistic children!.

I have three children, 2 with autism and I personally dont think my boys condition has anything to do with the MMR, although I can say that I dont think for some this is the case!. My boys weren't dx til they were about 10, so they are quite mild!. But I knew from day 1 there was something not right!. I believe it is genetic in my case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
None of the research has proven a link!. The diseases themselves are FAR more likely to cause problems!. My children had the MMR without incident!.

only in the fact that most kids get diagnosed with Autism around 18-24 months which is the same time that children have their MMR!. That's the only link!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
