Question: If you've used acutaine-calling all acne sufferers!!?
i have minor acne- it pops up every so often with 98 percent of my face clear and then a random almost cystic bump on my cheek or chin!. ive had worse acne ever since 4th grade, and ive been considering acutaine(or however it's spelled) by my dermatologist!. i know there are risks, and i wanted to hear from people who have used it how much their acne was cleared and if they had to go off it from complications!.

I used it for about a year when I was in a freshman in high school!. It really worked great - so much better than the other medications that the doctor prescribed!. It was pretty much a last resort and it worked wonders!. It has been over ten years and I still do not have breakouts!. I couldn't stay on it for very long because it seriously dried me out!. Not only was my skin dry, but I could barely sweat! Even my eyes felt dry!. But for me, the benefits definitely outweighted the side effects!. Just be sure to use lotion, chapstick, sunscreen, and eye drops on a regular basis and you'll be fine!. Oh, and you will have to go for periodic blood checks but that's no biggy!.
