So my friend wants to get an STD test but she wants to know how they do it like do they put something in your croch or do you take a pee test!?She doesnt have a yahoo answers account so i tollled her i would ask for her !.(It really is for a friend not for a "friend")Www@Answer-Health@Com

she has to get over the fear of the pap test every woman has to eventually and it doesnt hurt at all it just makes you a little uncomfortable and believe me its nothing to be scared of ive had plenty and eventually it does get easier but its still uncomfortable just not as bad as the first time and if she thinks she has an STD she better go soon cause even some of the curable ones can kill you if they go untreated for so longWww@Answer-Health@Com
why is she worried about getting a papsmear (she still keeps her verginity if she has one),unless she is really nervous it shouldn't hurt!. they put a mettal speculum up the vagina and take a sample of the cervix which lasts all of two seconds!. they may take blood, and a urine sample as well as a swab from the outer part of her vagina!. she should ask her doctors's office about what and or how they test for stds and to add anything on that she is worried about!.

A little bit of everything!. Tell her to get a pap smear for visible signs of an STD!. They may also do a combination of blood and urine testing depending on what you get tested for!. Also, they now have an HIV test that they take from your saliva!. Good luck and please use protection next time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Make sure she asks for the test for herpes as it is NOT given normal std screening!.
I think a combination of pap smear, blood and urine test should cover it all!. She can have this done at a Dr's!. office or go to Planned Parenthood to get this done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They take a blood test!.And yes they also go down there,and you should get a papsmear!.because some things do not show up with a blood test!.Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
Yes they need to go down there and do a pap smear!. Takes 3 seconds!. Then they will take a blood test!. HIV wouldnt show up in a pap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
