Question: Sore, itchy and red vagina!?
I shaved about 4 days ago and a day after I shaved I started getting very itchy and sore, I have tried baby powder to make sure I dont scratch and make it worse, but it is really stinging with pain even with the powder!.
I have had no discharge, I have had thrush once before and it isnt that!. Is it just a shaving rash or do I need to go and see the doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

To avoid this problem, some people use roll on deodorant after shaving the area!.!.!.apparently it's supposed to lessen the chance of irritation (which is what it sounds like you have)!. The problem you have now is that the area is dry (it's called razor burn and it's kinda like sunburn in a way), so powder isn't really going to help!. I would suggest a good lotion or maybe even pure aloe vera!. I always use aloe vera when I have dry itchy skin!. That's what works best for me!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I agree with the above two!. But another thing is, a lot of people have an allergy to talcum powder which is what most baby powder is made out of!. You can try just regular CORN STARCH like you would use for a thickening agent in the kitchen!. They do make baby powder out of corn starch, but you may want to stick with something fragrance free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah I agree with everyone above!. And its happened to me I shaved once down there it killed me and then when it grew back in it itched even worse!. I have two suggestions!.
1!. You could wax like a brazillian wax but that'll hurt worse then shaving!.

Sounds like you shaved a bit too close and shaved skin that wasn't used to being shaved, causing irritation!. Keep it moist with a good (female-safe) lotion and resist the urge to scratch!.
