Its not a death sentence, but it will definitely affect her quality of life, and it make shorten her life expectancy!. There are several kinds of Lupus that differ in their severity!. The main threat from lupus is from complications that sometimes develop in the kidneys and blood vessels!. Lupus can't be cured, but most of the symptoms can be managed enough for a person to continue with normal activities, but a few people seem to have problems that get progressively worse, and treatments have little effect!. Hopefully, your mom will fit with the majority of people that have manageable symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lupus (meaning wolf) named for the facial rash that often accompanies the disease!.
It is a disease of the immune system!.
Luckily, you are already born!!! Often lupus causes problems having babies, and having frequent miscarriage!.
Lupus can be very severe, or it can be very mild!. Every person is different!. I have seen people get severe disease that affects the blood vessels to the heart and kidneys and nervous system, and ALSO I have seen people with just a little rash and arthritis!. Soooo!.!.!.!.it is a chronic illness that can be very mild or very severe!.
Assuming your mom is middle aged, hers is less likely to be severe, often it is worse when you get it young, like as a teenager or before you have kids!.
Hope she does fine, and most people do fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
