Very many sexually active people have HPV whether they know it or not or have symptoms or not!. People find out that they do have it either because they get warts or else signs of cervical dysplasia (eventually) show up on a Pap exam!. The virus can come and go and it is usually treated symptomatically (that is the warts or the cervical dysplasia are cryosurgically or surgically removed)!. The threatening thing about HPV is that infection with certain strains can result in cancer if left untreated!. Vaccination is a new thing and is being promoted because so very many people have HPV or are at risk for getting it!. (up to 90% of women in certain age groups [20s] have it according to CDC statistics and only recently have researchers begun tracking men to find out what the prevalence is among them!.)!. So it is interesting now that a few times a week, there's a Q on this forum from a woman saying she's freaked out because HPV was diagnosed in her boyfriend!. In truth, the boyfriend got it either from that girlfriend or a previous one and not necessarily from "sleeping around" more than most people these days do!.

It is not impossible but probably unlikely for you to get HPV from fingering!. If you want to go to extremes about it, tell your Ob/Gyn that you want to be tested for HPV and see whether you are positive for it!. If you don't want to get HPV, use a condom during intercourse!. If you get rid of this boyfriend and get a new one, use a condom (the new boyfriend also surely will have been exposed to HPV unless he is a virgin)!. If you get HPV and are treated for it, you can get it again and can be infected with different strains of HPV -- so use a condom and make sure you are diligent about getting Pap exams!. This is all you can do!.

The only way you can be infected by fingering is if she touches his penis and directly puts his finger inside you!. So just have him wash him hands before fingering you!. Hpv is killed on the hands by washing!. So be careful and good for you to not let it get in the way of being together!. Good luck in six months your worries will be a memory!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

STD's are contracted through intercourse and blood!. if he has no open sores on his hands you should be safe!. But, I'd be thinking of finding a new boyfriend, 'cause, as stated this one may have cheated on you, and if he had it prior to the two of you getting together he's still a bad risk, especially if you are planning on long term and to have children!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if he touches himself first then he can give it to you (he would have to touch the infected area) just make sure he washes his hands and if you do more then that make sure you use protection!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Gardasil doesnt prevent all types of hpv just some of them but its very unlikely to get it by getting fingerdWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your bf has an STD and you don't!? That means he's been cheating on you honey!Www@Answer-Health@Com

no!.!.you will only contract the disease through intercourse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would stay away, far away!. Why risk it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
