MVP and chest tightness?!
Question: MVP and chest tightness!?
Today I woke up with tightness in my chest!. Its not painful but everytime i take a breathe i can feel my lungs stretching!. Its very annoying!. I am also super tired and get light headed when i stand up!. I have Mitrial Vavle Prolaspe (when I was diagnosed they said it was acute) and I dont know if my chest pain is because of this or if I am getting a cold!. I really have no idea, if there anyway to tell!? Im finishing up finals this week at college and I want to wait till I am home to go to the doctors!. Should I!? Its only 4 days!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have MVP, slight, but its still there, and I often get sharp chest pains upon breathing in!. It can be normal, but you have to get it checked out to make sure it is normal for you!.
MVP can progress!. Doctors like to keep an eye on it, yearly echos, ekgs, etc!.!. I hope thats what you have been doing!?

Do you not have a student health service on campus that could listen to your heart, lungs, etc!., and give you a professional opinion!?
I would think if you have "acute" mitral valve prolapse, meaning, I guess, that you have leakage, that you would absolutely have a physician on campus who knows about your condition and who is available to see you when you think you are having problems!.
Run over to the student health center and get it checked out!. You'll be able to concentrate better on your finals if you know what's going on!. Don't trust people on YA to give you accurate information on something so important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mitral valve proplapse is usually a very benign disease, which if treated with proper therapy should'nt bother one for long!. Apart from chest tightness do you have breathlessness!?
Usually if untreated it can progress to congestive heart disease!.
The only way and the best way to find out would be an EKG!.

The heart is one organ you should never take a gamble with!. It could be many things or it could be nothing!. In any case, I'd see a doctor right away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
