Question: A roomate of mine (Do not share a room) had lice recently (she's an elementary school teacher)!?
Is it likely that I will get lice too!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, not really!. You really do have to be sharing quite a bit in order for the lice to go from one body to another!. They don't jump, like fleas, so unless you're both using the same hairbrush, or sleeping on the same pillow, the chances are really slim!.

If you are sharing furniture!.!.!.for example, the couch in the living room, it's probably worth getting a bottle of the anti-lice spray!. Vacuum the furniture, then use the spray!. That should take care of any chances for them to transfer to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only if you share pillows and towels, brushes, hang coats on top of each other, or lay on the couch where roommates head has been!. Can always get some furniture spray for things that cannot be washed according to lice removal instructions!. Make sure roommate does take care of any linens, carpets, furniture that head has been around or has been in contact with stuff that has (such as jacket lying on her pillow)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is likely!.all things must be washed in hot water all bedding, pillows, towels, all things like that!.stuffed animals even!.all things must be washed down!.lice is extremely contagious if not dealt with the proper way!.your roomate also HAS to do the same considering she is the the source!.check your head daily for a while til you feel safe that theres no chance of you catching them!.!.!.good luck!.this is a common problem especially in elementary schools!.my neices are advised not to hang up there coats and put nothing down on the floor keep all belongings near self at all times due to this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not unless she had a very bad case of it!. My advice though is to clean everything and I do mean everything!. Launder all clothes, bedding, towels!. Vaccuum curtains, furnitures, mattresses, blinds, carpets, lampshades!. Emplty vaccuum into trashbag tie down and insert into another trash bag and seal!. The heat from the dryer is what kills them!. Pillows need to be ran through the dryer!. For items that can not be laundered take outside and leave in the sun all day!. Again the heat is what kills them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it actually is pretty likely if he/she had it for a while if it was only a few knits than you have less of a chance

make sure there stuff is cleaned and stuff and maybe gel your hair

dont worry too much

(im not sure if it works but there is also lice repellent)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sooner or later you might and here's how

when sharing a sofa or a dining chair, especially when it has fabric!.
plus eggs stick to the fabric and then it might rub against your hair and then !.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if she didnt disinfect everything she touched with the lice spray its possible yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible that if you were exposed to head lice that you could get it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
