Yes!. My son died from cancer a few months ago!. He fought for three years and did very well up until the last month of his life!. The cancer grew within 48 hours and spread quickly !. !.he was gone in a month!.

We coped by living in the moment !. !. one day, one moment at a time !. !. because really that is all that any of us can hope for !. !.even those without cancer!. There is no guarantee when it comes to living !. !. death can occur in minutes!.

Human beings are amazing creatures !. !. even in the face of horror and the fear of dying you can continue to live !. !. and you can smile,be sad, get angry, cry, laugh, joke, and love each other!. It is not what you expect at all !. !. you are human even when you have cancer and face a life threatening illness!. It can bring out the worst and the very best in a person!.

My sons type of cancer is almost always fatal!. There are survivors !. !. but very few!. I cope now by helping others with this disease !. !. !. miss him like crazy though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

6 Weeks ago my Dad was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus!. My best friend Tobias died of a blue nevus melanoma at age 24!. I just kept a positive attitude and made myself more available to help him & my Mom out with anything they needed, from running errands to housekeeping, driving them to appointments!.!. Whatever!. Just don't look at it as a death sentence!. Medical science has come a long way, and there are advancements every day!. Even if the type of cancer isn't curable, the treatments can buy most patients a lot of time so they can wrap it up, so to speak!. Talk to friends and family and encourage everyone to educate themselves and help your family member make sound choices for their care and for leading a more healthy, healing lifestyle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am a family member dealing with cancer!. You just smile and take it one day at a time!. Every day is a blessing this is round to for me and mine I'm 37 I have brain cancer again but its ok it seems to me it is harder for everyone around me to deal with than me if everyone just rearted me the same as always it would make things easier for me!. I haven't changed I just have a few new bumps in the road to go over!. Rememver the person is still the same no matter the cercumstance they just need to feel as normal and loved as possible it makes it all much easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think how you cope with cancer in your family depends a lot on what type of cancer, the location of the cancer, and the stage of the cancer!. Some people have a cancerous mole, get it lanced off that day,and are home eating dinner with their family that same night!. Others will die in 6 months!. So I don't really think you can lump cancer into one category and expect people to react the same!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I have!. My Aunt died from brain cancer nearly a decade ago!. My Grandmother died just a couple years ago from breast cancer that spread to her lungs, back, and her brain!. There was only a few things that medicine could do to ease her pain!. I have a cousin with Leukemia and also a friend who has it too!. Sadly cancer is all around people today and there is no cure for it and because it is an abnormality there can't be a cure you can fight it and it may or may not come back but the treatments kill everything not just the cancerous cells!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My husband was diagnosed with metastatic adonocarinoma of the lung(4th stage lung cancer) in February of 2004 and passed away, April 30, 2004!. His cancer was inoperable and his only chance(as small as it was) of survival was to undergo chemotherapy!. He never got that chance, as he passed three days before his first scheduled chemo treatment!. The really sad part of this is that he passed on our daughter's 19th birthday!. (She was away at college)!. I spent nearly half of my life with that man and I do miss him!. He will always have a special place in my "heart"!. He gave me a very special gift-our daughter!. Of any one day that he could have passed-he did so on that one day-as a reminder that I nor our daughter will ever forget him!. Each year that passes gets a little easier!. The pain of the loss will never go away completely!. I am grateful that he passed in his sleep and that he did not have to endure any more pain!. I as well as our daughter have moved on!. I found a man who is so much like my deceased husband-and I love him truly!. Nothing or no one can replace what I did lose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my mom has had colon cancer on and off for the past three years!. its a hard thing to deal with but you just have to keep moving forward and tell yourself that its gonna be okay and god is going to take care of them!. a good way to cope is to maybe take up a hobby to take your mind off of it!. if you have a family member with cancer i wish ya'll the best of luck beating it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
