There are a couple sites that can be useful!.

One is from emedicine!. It is very detailed about how it progresses, what it looks like on imaging, research and so on!. It's a great site and many MD students use it too! They also offer free membership ( at their homepage www!.emedicine!.com ), site has detailed info on treatments, research, and it is all very reliable and written by certified professionals!.

Below is a more basic site on the disease!. It seems to have a better explanation on current therapy!.
http://www!.nlm!.nih!.gov/medlineplus/ency/!.!.!.

I wish I could find better links on what therapy is available!. It seems like many therapies are somewhat controversial so thorough case by case reviews with a orthopedic specialist is highly suggested!. More common practices include rest, braces, exercises, and in severe cases surgery!. My guess is emedicine of the above two may have more info!. but it may take some digging!. I'll look more into it in a day or 2, I'm still studying for finals :(!.

As of right now, there are a number of clinical trials for new treatments!. The FDA requires rigorous animal testing before even allowing anything suggested to touch humans!. Therapy may be free with professional follow-up!. Of course, this is a sensitive topic, but the link is available if there is any curiosity - whether it be potential new treatments, more knowledge, etc!.

Hope that is helpful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
