Head MRI??!

Question: Head MRI!?!?
So i've been having nonstop headaches since i was like 13 (im 16 now) and i went to the doc and she told me to use this medicine, didnt work!. and she told me to keep a journal and all that crap!. anyways, none of that work and im still having nonstop headaches, especially in the morning when i get up and when i exercise and move around a lot!. Also, theres a ringing in my ear, like a buzzing noise that wont go away (we tried cleaning, ear candles, etc!.) One last thing, theres a slight bump on the middle of the top of my head and theres pain coming from that also, and we went to the dermotologist and docs and said its nothing on the outside and they dont know!. So i have an MRI scheduled for tonight in an hour and 45 min!. Do these sound like common problems or do these sound like something bad!? I am scared sh**less of the idea of a brain tumor!. Anyone have experience with this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I have had 12 or so MRIs of my head and while they are super noisy!.!.!.!. I hope you can relax!.
Yoy will likely be in a tube with what I call the darth vader mask on your head!. The mask has a mirror so you can see your toes and the room!. It also stabilizes your head!. They put a cushion under your knees so you can lay on your back and stay still comfortably!.
Sometimes they give you headphones which you can or cannot hear the music they play!. They will give you ear plugs as the machines are loud!.
As for your symptoms!.!.!. the noises in your ears are very common!. I have them all the time!. I have headaches all the time too!. No idea about the bump!.
Lots of time they just want to run the MRI to just see that all is ok!. Just let the test happen, relax, stay still and look at your feet!. It takes time but you will be fine!. Odds are that there is no tumor!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the bump is on top of your head, outside the skull, then it isn't likely to be a brain tumor!. Even so, the MRI is a good thing to do because you need to find out what that bump is and you need to know whether you have a tumor causing the headaches!. Actually, it sounds like some of this could be from high blood pressure, although I would think they have been checking your BP, and you are very young to have high BP, unless you are eating salt by the spoonful!.
There a numerous causes of headaches: allergies, sinus problems, migraines, stress, hormonal imbalance, just to name a few!. You'll know a lot more after your MRI!.
My headaches started at puberty and continued for almost the rest of my adult life, until I got on the correct dosage of Premarin and progesterone!. I'm not saying that's the cause of yours, merely that there are so many possibilities that you shouldn't scare yourself to death with them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
