Question: Opinions please best answer wins!?
i have had abdominal pain all day and went to the bathroom 16 times today!. i do this alot!. my dr is checking me for crohns/colitis!. my sister is a nurse and thinks it is only ibs!. i also have hot flashes, fevers, night sweats, etc!. i had an anal fissure when i was younger and my bowels didnt form until i was four!. is this more than ibs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hope you have the lesser of the three (IBS/colitis/ crohns) but it kind of does sound like a little more than IBS, ALTHOUGH it could be that and just be a flare up at the moment!. My husband has ulcerative colitis and has flares, but they are luckily never severe!. I worked as a GI nurse for the last 7 years and just want to assure you, even if it would turn out to be Crohns, there are many new meds and it is a bit more treatable than in years pass, although still not curable, but not everyone has lots of trouble keeping the flare ups under control!. i have a close friend with crohns and your symptoms sounds like hers!. you can control it with diet!. High fiber helps along with aloe juice and cat's claw(herbal supplement) She also has to take steroids sometimes!. It can be controled!. They will do a colonoscopy and look for polyps and do an MRI!. Cat's claw is very powerful stuff that works for inflamation as well as grape seed extract!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
