Ingrown Toenail?...?!

Question: Ingrown Toenail!?!.!.!.!?
Ok, i've had it once before--both of my toes on each corner!.

I need surgery because it has gotten so bad, but my question is, what exactly do they do when it's only ONE side!?

Most people have to take Antibiotics before they get the surgery or whatever but if i had strep throat and took penicillin!.!.!.Does that count!? or would i still need more antibiotics!? (Weird, yes i know)

Thanks to all! :)

P!.S!. This really hurts :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The first question, It's laser surgery, they will do the affected side!. your toe will be sensitive to touch for a couple days, so try to keep off it!. The laser surgery requires no stitches, just a bandage wrap, and the ingrown nail won't ever return again!.

Second, If you are taking an antibiotic already, that will be fine, they won't give you any more!. they may give you some pain killer though like Tylenol 3!. amoxacillion is a antibiotic!.

I'm sorry it hurts, I've had the surgery done twice, once on each big toe and let me tell you it was well worth it, you'll feel immediate relief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they would cut part of the skin right by the nail, remove the nail growth, then throw in a stitch or two!. or do the laser procedure!.

amoxicillin is a basic prescribed oral antibiotic!. usually in 250mg capsules or more/less depending on what is needed

500mg is fine! and you'll get prescribed more drugs as needWww@Answer-Health@Com
