Well, it would be easier to seat people around peak times if you don't have to worry about smoking vs!. non-smoking!.

I know for me (I am a non-smoker) I get physically sick to be around smokers for even 5 minutes!.!.!.so someone like me could not go to a restaraunt if they have a smoking secion!.

Their employees could possibly be healthier because they are not inhaling all that second hand smoke!.

Also some states have banned smoking in public buildings so, staying in business would be a plus for these restaraunts!.

on the losses side!.!.!.

Smokers might not want to come into your restaraunt because, they can't smoke in the restaraunt!.

Ummmm!.!.!.other than loss of revenue I can't think of any more downsides to smoking being banned!. Maybe a smoker can point out more downsides for you!.!.!.I just can't think of any more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Benefits-
Asthmatics (like myself) can go in there and enjoy their dining experience without filling their lungs with filthy secondhand smoke!.

Losses-
Smokers (being the weak-minded people that they are) will probably not want to go in there if they can't suck off a cancer stick!.

Having a smoking section in a restaraunt is like having a peeing section in a pool!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well people that smoke, who like to go and smoke at a restaurant, they will lose those customers or they will start going less!. Alot of reatuarants have an outdoor patio where you can eat, where you can smoke out there and me being a smoker, I dont mind, I dont see what the big deal is to all the other smokers!. Benefits, I would say, It would make people that dont smoke, more attracted to come and eat there and no t have to worry about second hand smoke!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what's the big deal about being unable to smoke in a restaurant!? there's more to gain than ever, 'cos there are more ppl (including children) who don't smoke who prefer to patronise a no-smoking restaurant or pub!. !!!!! yes, here in Singapore, we have smoke-free pubs and business is good as ever!. Next time when u light up, spare a thought for ppl who don't smoke, ppl who politely endured your 2nd-smoke!.
i'm a non-smoker & i hate coming back from a pub with the sickening taste & smell of cigarette smoke in my mouth, my hair & my clothes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Crater13's answer says it all!. For me personally (being a non-smoker) a non-smoking "zone" means less pollution!. I don't want to come off the pollution on the streets to a bigger pollution from second-hand smoke!. Specially not while I'm eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Like many states, California has banned smoking in restaurants for many years!. Look around the popular restaurants, they are jam packed!. Smokers are getting used to smoke outside of restaurants since the ban!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well if most of the clientele are smokers I would say it is a loss HOWEVER if most of the clientele are non-smokers I would definitely say it is a benefit therefore it depends on the restaurant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
