99:1 its heat rash or a reaction to the suncream you are using!?!?

It disappears when you press a glass against it!? Is he well in himself and eating and drinking normally!? If so, don't worry overmuch - it will probably go as quickly as it came!. Keep an eye on his temperature though and if it gets worse, doctors obviously!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Heat rashes can come in a few different forms on the skin, some look like minor burn marks and some small spots!. If ur little boy seems ok in himself then there should not be anything to worry about!. I also noticed from what you said, the rash isnt on his arms and legs and this is a sign that it is a heat rash as it is normally under clothing!. Like i said if he seems happy in himself then im sure he will be fine given a few days the rash should go, but if ur still not happy then take him to the doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be that your son is allergic to the sun cream!. My daughter is allergic to many of them, particularly look out for the ones that say they contain Vitamin E as they seem to be the worst!. Nobody else in my family has any allergies to anything, so this surprised me!.

My daughter has so far been fine only with Nivea children's suncream and Avon, so I tend to just buy those now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have heat rash right now (my last Q asked was about this) and it does look the same!. I would take him to the local pharmacy and ask just to be sure though!. If it itches him I have just bought some E45 cream for reducing itching and it is helping!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Looks like heat rash to me, my daughter gets it every summer!. Ask yr pharmacist for some shower gel/cream for sensitive skin for a child!. This will help soothe it, its better than using the perfumed stuff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Heat rash takes the form of tiny blisters (or blebs) which appear in newborn babies!.
When to see the doctor
Take your child to the doctor if:

the spots become red or pus-filled (green)!. This means that they have become infected, and need treatment
the rash lasts more than two to three days
in addition to having a rash, your baby is generally unwell, has a fever or is not feeding well!.
What causes it!?
Sweat glands are not fully developed in babies, and can become blocked if the baby is too hot!. This is why heat rash is commonly seen in newborn babies during summer!. It may also appear during a fever, or simply when a baby has been overdressed!.

What are the symptoms!?
Pinkish blebs or small blisters usually appear over the face, neck and in skin folds, especially in the nappy area!. If infected, they may become pus-filled!.

How is it treated!?
A tepid bath, light clothing and some fresh air is usually all that is needed for miliaria to disappear!. The rash should disappear in two to three days!. If your baby is scratching the spots, speak to your doctor or child health nurse about which creams may help!.

How can I prevent it!?
Try not to overdress your baby!. Carefully dry all skin folds after each bath!.
