I think they are not banned because they do not alter your state of mind as other drugs do!. They are basically just bad for your physical health, but it is not like you are a danger to others by smoking!. That is except from second hand smoke!. I think as time goes by smoking will not be allowed in more and more areas!. It is a good way of making it a pain in the butt for smokers, and they hope we'll stop because of it!. I recently quit smoking, and now I can't stand the smell of someone who just had a cigarette!. It is helping me not to start again!. I don't want to smell like that to someone else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If we just banned cigarettes tomorrow, think of the mass psycholgical effects it would have on the many many people who smoke!. You would have a nation going into withdrawl!. Interestingly, there is a law saying that there should always be tobacco plants in the US, so if outside sources stop producing, we would always have an adequete supply!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Most of the people who have answered this so far, have had the right answers!. Another way to see this is that people do not like change!. Once any habit is started, people pick up on it, just like a "saying" and stays with people for life!. This is probably something that will stay for life, unfortunately, because people are too weak to go find another something to do with their hands, and they think they are being "expressive with their hands" by the way they hold them, think it's "cute" and all that, when they smoke!. I hate the smell coming into my nostrils, but people don't give a crap how much it bothers others, they're going to do what they're going to do!. My mom and my sister both smoked the whole time I was growing up, and I had to keep my bedroom door closed the entire time, or throw up, from the nasty smell, and the smell it leaves on all the furniture, walls, and the very persons body and clothing who is constantly "in the thick of the smoke!." When people learn to think for themselves, which I doubt will happen in our lifetime, they might realize, "hey, there are too many detrimental factors here, due to cigarettes," lets quit smoking and move on to a more productive thing to pass our time!. People are cattle, and the tobacco companies have a lot invested in their product, and are in it for the money, so they're not going to STOP producing cigs, so it looks like cigs are going to be around forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Because the cigarette companies bring so much money into the economy that if they quit making them it would be disasterous!. Me personally I feel that they should!. It would be a good way to help people stop!. Even if it means losing thousands of jobs!. Millions of lives will be saved!.
I do find it ironic how cigarette companies are running ads on how to stop smoking!. I wonder what their motives are!? Are they now trying to relieve their consciences' from all the lives that are lost daily to cancer from smoking!. I have personally lost a grandfather and three uncles to smoking!.
