Question: How do i get rid of Eczema!?
ive got it on my legs and i get really paranoid about it but it does really stop me from wearing shorts

the best thing that you have to do is to keep away from a lot of things!. consider these tips:

- Keep the skin moist by using an all natural moisturizer
- Take a short, cool, shower and bath!.
- Use soap sparingly!.
- Don't be abrasive, avoid scrubbing the skin!.
- Avoid detergents, cleansers and solvents!.
- Cool it off, keep temperature a few degrees lower to keep the skin moist!.
- Avoid to much alcohol!.
- Choose unscented skin care products!.
- Watch out diet and have balanced diet with fruits and vegetables!.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol drinking
- Avoid scratching the affected area!.
- Keep fingernails short!.
- Try not do things and activities that can make you sweat!.
- Wear clothes that are loose and with cotton and soft fabric

Unfortunately, you can't really get rid of eczema, all you can do is get it under control!. I have the same problem with my legs!. Try using the cortisone cream the previous poster suggested and wear it underneath a fragrance-free moisturizer!. Many people are also allergic to lanolin and/or mineral oil, so I'd avoid products that contain either of those!. Also, don't shave your legs during a flare-up unless you are using an electric razor!. If you still have problems after trying these measures, your best bet is to see a dermatologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hiya i know how you feel I've got chronic eczema on my hands & it gets so bad that if i even try to close my fingers a tiny bit my skin splits & bleeds & thats outside the deep cuts on my hands,there is NO CURE believe my ive tried ultra violet treatment 3 days a week in a hospital with no luck,i would be here all night listing the creams,oniments & steroids etc that ive tried but one thing i did try which my dear old deaseced grandmother always did for me as a child is to put oatmeal flakes into a tight mesh bag & soak in bath water & just lie in the bath water & it worked wonders & you could also try goats milk soap which is hard to come by!.!.!.!.!.!.good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

You cant actually get rid of Eczema but you can control it with medication so go and see your GP, he will tell you which cream to use and what oil to use when you bathe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
