It really depends what kind of tumor is it, the worst it can be is a carcinoma, which is cancer!. Some renal tumors can be benign, such as angiomyolipomas!. Oncocytomas are also renal tumors (which can be in adrenals, salivary glands, thyroid, etc!.) usually benign, but can be cancerous as well!.
