My dad just died from heart problems..question?!
Question: My dad just died from heart problems!.!.question!?
my dad just passed away, and im only 16 but im not stupid and i may be just looking for someone to blame but idk!. anyways, my dad died from a massive heartattack!. about 2 weeks before hand he went to his heart dr [hes always been sick!.] and the doctor did a heart scope type thing [cant think of name, they went in his groin and up threw his veins to his heart!.] his doctor told my mom and me that my dad was doing good and wouldnt need to be checked up on for another 6+ months!. what im wondering is, is it possible there was more blockage or a heart problem that he told my dad and my dad requested him not to tell us the truth so we wouldnt be worried!? my dad was acting strange before he died and kept asking me questions like 'how many days of school can i miss this year!?' and he kept telling me 'im okay!. dont worry about me!.' my dad always was a modest guy and would never admit he was sick but i cant believe the doctor would miss a weak heart and so much blockage!. need more descrip!. askWww@Answer-Health@Com

You know, my grandfather did the same thing!. He told me(when I was 16 as well) that he was built like a tank, and his heart was perfect!. But would say, "Im not going to make it past 60" (he was 59 when he died) or he would say, "This is the last car I'll own"!.!.!. and we would tell him he was nuts!.
He died of a massive heart attack!. Kept coding every 10 minutes, 38 times, and went brain dead!.
He had 100% blockages in all of his arteries!.
Your father probably didnt want to worry anyone!. He must have been one brave man for keeping his sickness to himself to save his family heart ache!.
I dont know if a doctor would lie like that!.!. maybe your father did request it!.!. but I dont know of any doctors who would lie!. At most, they would say, "Its not my decision to tell!.!."
Im going to give you advice, from my point of view(from a girl who knows how it feels)!.!. just let it be!. Instead of trying to boggle your mind with an answer you'll never get(since the person who holds the answer is no longer) just remember the good times you had wirth him, and try to stay focused on that!.

sorry about your Dad!. I had a heart attack and had the same procedure done!. even though they put 2 stents in my heart to keep my arteries open, the threat of another heart attack always exists!. I take my meds daily, watch what I eat and exercise 5 days a week but the threat never goes away!. perhaps, they are not telling you how serious his condition was!.

Im am so sorry about you dad!. Just remember he wouldnt want you to be sad!. He would want you to go on with life!. My dad always told me when he was to die he wanted everyone to listing to there favorite songs and have a party because he didnt want anyone to be sad!. Just look up in the sky and know he is always there for you!. When my grandpa dies my mom told him to paint a sunset in the sky and that night there was a hugh sunset!.just go on with life but never forget and dont blame yourself when in doubt blame the stupid heart for failing!. my heart really goes out to you!. My dad passed away on Feb!.10 2008 (three months ago) a day before my 19th birthday and he died of a heart attack from a smoking related death!. He went to the doctor two weeks before because he was complaining that he couldnt breath very well and he felt very different!. The doctor checked him all out and gave him an inhaler and off he went!. Then he died!. I feel that the doctor should be more at fault because he had said my dad was in perfect health, when he was given information of poorer health!.
In your case, it IS possible that your doctor did a poor health check so that insurance didn't have to pay!. 20/20 did a big report on this because insurance pays doctors to report no problems and so the doctors were finally sued and confessed!. Anyhow, it is also possible that your dad knew of the problem and didn't want to tell you and your mom because he wanted to live his life normal without worries!. It's hard to tell!. You will have to have a lot of talks with your mom to see what you guys feel is best and maybe look into the doctor more to see what he says!. I wish we could offer more advice, but we don't know what really happened!.
