Question: Do I have Tetanus!!?!!?
Ok, so I got a cut (multiple cuts over a few days) and after one of them my jaw started to get tense, now when I try and open my mouth all the way my jaw pops!. Am I starting to develop Tetanus, or is this just coincidenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

Unless these cuts were from a rusty object in a barnyard, in a third world country- it's highly unlikely you have tetanus!. And if you ever had tetanus vaccinations, your chances are nearly zero!. In the US last year, there were only about 40 cases total!. Just clean the cuts well, and put on an antibiotic ointment and chill!. You aren't running fever, you don't have chills/sweats, a rapid heart rate or spasms!. There are other things that can give you the sensation you describe, and lockjaw would be way way down on the list of possibilities!. If it will ease your mind, make an appointment and get a booster shot!. And while you are there, get the jaw looked at if you like!. Though for that, you may end up with the dentist as well!. i would get it checked out by a doctor!. i just read my medical book and jaw locking is one of the symtpons - have you had a tetanus shot!? i think you should be having a shot every 12-15 yearsWww@Answer-Health@Com
