Not at all!. Bladder infections are common, and just like other common infetcions (such as ear infections) they go away with antibiotics!.
And FYI ~ Bladder infections are NOT STDs!.
Also, as a tip, drinking cranberry juice helps ease symptoms of a bladder infection!.
Hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, if you dont take care of it, you can end up Hospitalized, but no its not for life, wonce you have one, you are more proned to have one, they are caused by alot of things, most common one is having sex mulitoul times in a single time frame ( in my case lol), and not peeing after weards!. Best way to get rid of them is to take the medicine that the DOC gave you and drink lots of Cranberry juice any mixed flavors ( has to be 100% juice) and start taking Cranberry pills found in your vitamn area at local store, and that will help keep you from getting them as well as eat alot of yogurt!Www@Answer-Health@Com

What your doctor has given is antibiotic!. Bladder infection is not life lasting!. But few persons have tendency to get recurrent bladder infections!. So after the course of antibiotic, it is well for few days but patient again gets another episode of infection after few days!. Cause may be weak immunity for repeated infections!. But it does not seem in your case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No it's not chronic and will go away!. My girlfriend got them a few times, I eventually learned it was from too much sex ( in her case ) - at least this is what her doctor told her!. Of course there are other reasons to get it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get it again some time in your life, but no it isn't something that you deal with on a long lasting basis!. The medication will get rid of the infection!. Just make sure you take it all even if you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
