Is Rheumatoid Arthritis hereditary ?!

Question: Is Rheumatoid Arthritis hereditary !?
Answers:
Yes!. But there's a caveat to that!.

It is an autoimmune disorder!. Autoimmune problems can be passed on to children, however, it is not a definite!. Most traits we get from our parents are a blend - one from one parent, a different trait from another parent!. It's possible that it may not get passed on!.

Even if it is, you may not develop an autoimmune disorder!. You could have the genetic predisposition to develop one, but doctors believe it is a combination of genetics as well as environment!.!.!. namely an illness triggering the disease!.

My paternal grandfather had it, my father had it, and I have a different autoimmune disease!. But I also have 2 sisters and neither of them have ever developed an autoimmune problem!. My dad had 2 brothers and a sister and none of them ever developed an autoimmune problem!. So goes to show that even though it is hereditary, it isn't automatic that you could get it or even pass it on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe that, as it is considered autoimmune, that one may be predisposed to having RA or other autoimmune diseases Here is a good site for resources and studies, though they do not list this as hereditary that I can see at a glace!.
Best wishes
